Yorkshire firms team up to advise on sale - 29/09/08
York professional services firms have teamed up to advised in the sale of a north Lincolnshire business to a US buyer.
The companies commercial lawyers Dennison Till and accountants and business advisers Garbutt & Elliot steered the sale of Hanson Resource Management and subsidiary Hanson Support Services of Scunthorpe.
The organisation has some 600 staff and a turnover of more than £22 million, making it one of the county's biggest employers.
Joe Wright, former Hanson chairman and chief executive, praised the Yorkshire firms for their role in the process.
"We were well advised by Denison Till and Garbutt & Ellliot who worked very hard as a team and completed the transaction in line with our expectations," he commented.
Last week Ossett-based Carclo revealed that it remains profitable despite the economic climate.
It explained that new tooling contracts across both of its divisions are expected to fully compensate for increased costs.
