Sheffield drug delivery company signs £5m agreement - 24/07/08

A Yorkshire-based drug delivery company has signed a £5 million deal with a global pharmaceutical company.

Under the terms of the five-year deal, Sheffield company The Medical House will customise its Auto Safety Injector for use with one of Dr Reddy's Laboratories' drugs, reports the Sheffield Star.

According to the news provider, this will cover supply of the injector, which allows patients to treat themselves in the US, Canada and within the European Union.

Medical House's chairman Ian Townsend told the publication that he is "delighted" by the agreement.

"We see this as another endorsement of our technology and it adds another project and product to our growing list, which will provide us with a diverse income stream over a number of years," he added.

In other news from Sheffield, the local council has announced that work is well underway on improving the city's Middlewood Road North, which was damaged by flooding last year.
