Law firms' last chance to enter regional awards - 12/06/08

Law firms have been reminded this week that the closure date for entries for the Yorkshire Lawyer of the Year Award is looming.

Regional news provider the Business Desk reports that Roger Dixon of Hague & Dixon is drawing attention to the awards, which law firms can nominate members of their practice for until June 30th.

The prize serves to highlight the high standard of legal practices in the region and are a chance for free publicity for the winners.

Previous winner Mr Dixon told the website: "The Yorkshire Lawyer Awards provide the profession with an opportunity to highlight publicly the role played by solicitors throughout the regional legal community."

He added that they are a golden opportunity for smaller firms to shine and stand up for the contribution made by high street firms.

In related news, Trade Yorkshire is urging regional companies to enter the European Strategic Manufacturing Awards on its website this week.
