A Yorkshire firm that provides videoconferencing equipment has signed a deal to work with a government-funded network.
Direct Visual is to work alongside the education and research network Janet (UK) in order to widen the Welsh Video Network which currently has 160 studios in higher education facilities throughout the area, reports the Huddersfield Examiner.
Mike Phillips, Direct Visual chairman, stated that it is "is one of the most complex videoconferencing projects that the UK has ever seen," and that it will help Welsh education overcome geographical challenges that it is currently facing.
