A Yorkshire recycling firm is seeking to develop its business in Europe by exhibiting at two prominent trade fairs.
The Leeds-based group, Straight, provides a range of waste and recycling solutions to numerous local authorities and waste management companies.
It is the UK's leading supplier of recycling containers and plans to attend crucial business events in Germany and Italy.
The firm will exhibit at Entsorga-Enteco 2009, in Cologne, Germany. The event is held every three years and is the largest recycling management and environmental technology trade fare in Europe.
The company will then travel to Rimini in Italy, where it will appear at the international trade fair Ecomondo.
Ecomondo focuses on materials recovery, energy recovery and sustainable development. It is the largest annual fair in Europe for firms in the sustainability and environmental sectors.
Straight currently supplies products such as office waste bins, home composters and water butts to corporate businesses, facilities management companies, hospitals and educational organisations.
It has already established business in Canada, the US, Australia, Ireland and Israel and hopes to set-up similar local partners in Europe.
