Yorkshire-based hotel group Principal Hayley has announced it has acquired two new properties to add to its portfolio.
It has taken New Connaught Rooms in London and the historic Glasgow Central Hotel on board and will invest in excess of £40 million in an extensive refurbishment and renovation programme.
"The Grand Connaught Rooms will work hand in hand with the Hotel Russell to offer some of the finest conference and banqueting that central London has to offer," noted Tony Troy, chief executive officer of Principal Hayley.
He added that the Glasgow-based hotel would benefit from being in a thriving tourism and conference destination.
The concept of a la carte conferencing is one which will likely appeal to the industry, the group suggested, which should ensure its continued success.
Last month, Principal Hayley completed its £8.1 million investment in the White House in Old Windsor, a 26-bedroom townhouse hotel.
